ARCTIC
SECURITY
CORRIDOR
Strengthening Canada and Connecting North America

-
The Arctic Security Corridor will connect to the Northwest Passage at Grays Bay, securing the northern border of North America.
-
The Port of Grays Bay lies in the middle of the 5,200 nm (6,000 km) sea route from Nome, Alaska to Nuuk, Greenland, and will provide security and trade benefits across the three nations.
-
To the west, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is expanding the Port of Nome to accomodate larger ships, including both cruise ships and naval vessels.
-
To the east, the Port of Nuuk has been developed into a multi-purpose, multi-use hub, supporting fishing, tourism, and security traffic. Nuuk continues to expand and increase its capacity and efficiency.
